Automatic Yarn Changer

The Silver Reed YC6 Automatic Yarn Changer is an attachment for the knitting machine that allows you to semi-automaticaly switch between 4 different yarn colours. You can find the manual here

If it is your first time using this, please talk to Rosie or Agnes first!

Set up

  1. Swap out the regular clamps for the ribber clamps, this tilts the machine up to allow space for the colour changer

  2. Using a screw driver or pencil, push the sponge bar from the left side of the machine so that it protrudes by 2-3cm.

  1. Loosen the Securing wheel "A" on the yarn changer as much as it will go the insert the Securing Plate "B" into the guide hole of the sponge bar on the left hand side. Turn the securing wheel "A" to tighten it.
