Inductions and Workshops
All eTextiles inductions and workshops are bookable via ORB. If you have to cancel your booking for any reason, please follow the cancellation policy. If it is:
- more than 24 hours before -> cancel your ORB booking
- less than 24 hours before -> message us on Slack - Rosie for knitting and Agnes for embroidery
There are limited slots for these booking and quite a lot of students! Please be considerate by cancelling your bookings as far in advance as possible if you cannot attend.
Multiple missed booking without messaging beforehand could result in being banned from the eTextiles Lab!!

Embroidery Machine Inductions
Embroidery machine inductions are bookable on ORB here. The induction runs for around 1.5 hours, please make sure that you are available for the entire time slot.
Knitting Machine Inductions and Workshops
For the knitting machine there are two inductions and four workshops available to attend.

Qualifying on the Knitting Machine
Attending the knitting machine induction does not automatically qualify you to use the machine unsupervised. In order to qualify to you must have:
- Attended the knitting machine induction
- Completed Assignment A and had it signed off by Rosie or Agnes
Booking the Knitting Machine
You must book in order to use the knitting machine. There are two ways in which the machine can be booked, depending on whether have qualified or not:
- if you have not qualified -> message either rosie or agnes on slack in order to use the machine
- if you have qualified -> book via ORB here
