Safety Signage
Across UAL, a standardised colour code has been adopted for machines and processes where health and safety must be considered.
The colour code includes icons and text for accessibility, which will be stuck on a machine, tool, or workstation to indicate whether you are allowed to use it.
Sometimes the sticker will be included in a printed A4 safe systems of work sheet next to the equipment.
If you cannot find a sticker or a safe systems of work sheet, you must ask a technician for advice before using the machine.
Be aware that this harmonised colour scheme is still being adopted across UAL, and you may see other older colour codes being used with different meanings.
