About the Electronics Lab

The Electronics Lab is located on the 5th floor of Peckham Road, in PR_B502. There are eight standard soldering stations, one advanced soldering station, and three test and assembly stations. In order to use the soldering equipment, you must have first done a mandatory online induction. To use more complex equipment, such as the bench power supplies and oscilloscope, you will also need to attend an in-person beginner or advanced induction, which may be booked on orb.

Consumables

The electronics lab stocks many items as consumables, which are provided free of charge to students. Please only take what you need, and return anything you don't use. Consumable items include:

• solid and strand core wire
• resistors, capacitors, LEDs and other standard components
• solder, stripboards and shield boards

Loaning Items

More expensive and reusable items are available to loan through the ORB booking system and Kit Room. Note that the Kit Room is located in the Greencoat building, a 10-minute walk from Peckham Road, where the electronics lab is located.
