Standard Soldering Workstation

There are 8 standard soldering benches available in PR_B502. Each of these has one Hakko FX-971 soldering station and iron. Each bench also has a set of hand tools (EXTECH EX310 Multimeter), Wera screwdrivers, hand-held wire strippers, solder sucker, side cutters and pliers.

Additional prototyping tools, such as alternative wire strippers, JST connector crimpers and a wider range of screwdrivers are available within the space.

Safety

The soldering benches are operated by a timer switch. In order to use one of these benches, you MUST have completed a manatory online induction.

Every bench also shares access to a Rigol DP711 DC Power Supply. In order to use this piece of equipment, you must have attended one of the in-person Beginner Electronics Bench inductions (you must complete the mandatory soldering induction first).
