What is Autodesk Fusion

Fusion or previously known as Fusion 360, is a CAD (Computer Aided Design) software by Autodesk. It is mainly used to create precise 3D models, which can then be used to create physical products or prototypes. It is heavily used by hobbyists, engineers and product designers.

Beyond just 3D design and modeling, Fusion can also be used to do the following:

  • CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing)
  • Conducting a variety of simulation studies
  • PCB design
  • Rendering
  • Basic Animation
  • Creating Engineering Drawings
